Man I am kind of partial to the 700 BDL 7mm-mag. Personally the 7mm-mag is a better hunting round. When my father passed away I sold mine and bought my first AR.
I don't hunt anymore.

i'm gonna look into these options but i will get a 700. the bad news is i just got back from the gun show and they had a mossberg 12gauge shotgun with pistol grip and a ventelated barrel and extended mag for 250.00 so now i'm 250.00 short so i have to hit the dump for a week or two and pull in some cash but the 700 is on it's way .

AH:Just funning with you.I was glad you posted so no one would miss it.At my old age I use the ledsled for rifles such as STW,RUM,H&H,and Weatherby,s big boomers and altho it is a little strange,it sure makes life easier. My 10yr old grandaughter once fired my .416 Rem. with 50lbs of shot for weight. She missed.AlenC asked about a ransom rest.It seems like I saw one with straps behind the butt and weights but I believe I would just buy a quality leadsled. sam.

The Ransom Rest is very pricey and a pain to use. They work well for handguns but you have to either have the correct inserts or mold new ones for whichever gun you're shooting in it.
