| Super Moderator ![]() | I handled one a few days ago, and it felt very nice. Not too heavy and very well balanced for a rifle with a high rigidity barrel.

| Senior Member | A Dick's Sporting Goods I was in today had one in .308. They said they just got it Wednesday. $799. I'll wait till the guys at the local gun shop can get one. They quoted me $669.

| Member | Fellow Remington lovers. Just wondering if anyone has a range report on this new VTR. I picked one up in Cabela's the other day and it felt nice, (minus the stock) looked nice, but I'm a bit concerned about the muzzle brake, triangle barrel, and stock. I don't believe that the stock is glass or aluminum bedded. I also think that aftermarket parts such as the stock, threads for the barrel if you want to add a suppressor, trigger, etc... could be a challange to find if a guy wanted to customize and accessorize this rifle. also the brake is about 2 inches long, no rifling of course, which means that this is a 20 inch barrel with a 2 inch brake. I'm considering trading a rifle off on either an SPS or VTR in .308 I have heard from other forums that the stock is a P.O.S. just wondering if anyone has input or a range report on the rifle? |

| Registered User | Just picked mine up last night. Love it!! Got it all cleaned up and lightened the trigger a little. Probably mount the scope tomorrow and start getting some loads put together. Next Sat morning I'm going to give it a workout. Dave |
