| remington nylon 66 i recently picked up an older nylon 66 for 70 bucks. shoots good but need some love. i read about Duracoat as a replacement for bluing. has anyone dealt with this stuff. input appreciated. thanks |

| I prefer a hot blue job but remember the 66 has a lot of plastic parts - did you get the black or brown one?

| I only wish I had this rifle !!! Wanted one, bought speedmaster which is a great rifle in its own right. I'd recommend visiting Brownells website -- they have everything for refinishing any gun for the do-it-yourselfer. Lots of good coatings. Due to the irreplacable nature of this rifle, I'd humbly suggest that you go to a quality gunsmith for further work. |

| as far as the ones i have seen, yes the black comes with a nickle finish. but hey, if you are redoing one and prefer the black, why not? i seen one at a gun show last weekend in really good shape, had a pricetag of 175 on it. |
