X-Mark Pro

I have heard good and bad about the new X- Mark Pro trigger. I am only 19 so I am still fairly new to the shooting world as far as details like triggers are concerned. But I am extremely happy with this trigger. I just wish I knew how to adjust it. I am more than capable of figuring it out but that is not the safest way to go about it. I am good with mechanical objects and I know what is safe so don't feel like you are giving guns to a baby. I am a qualified shooter, but that also involves being smart about it.

If anyone knows how to adjust this trigger please advise. Thanks!

The older model triggers for rem 700 are adjustable by the average joe, but the new mark x has to be adjusted by a gunsmith. That is what I have learned but I am not 100% sure though. I have a rem 700 vtr in .223 with a mark x trigger it breaks pertty well new it has about a 4 pound pull but 2.5 would be ideal.

it does not need to be adjusted by a gunsmith, it is easily adjustable by someone who knows and understands what they are doing.

I hope to be that guy, who knows what he's doing. That's why I ask. I don't want to do ANYTHING until I am very confident in how to go about it. When you are trying to shrink those groups you get psyched out and it seems like the trigger is locked or something. A prybar is necessary to set it off. I don't want a target trigger necessarily. Just something I can squeeze more easily

The new Remington trigger is a great one. It adjusts the same as the older model 700 triggers with the exception of using an allen wrench rather than a screwdriver. Directions for adjusting the Remington trigger can be found by searching the Internet.

THANKS!!! I have been waiting for someone to reply and had all but given up. I don't ever give up but I realize sometimes it isn't worth waiting for nothing.

Overtravel can't be adjusted on an X Mark Pro trigger as cleanly as the pre 2006 triggers because overtravel moves with safety actuation on the X Mark Pro trigger group.
Adjust accordingly.
