| I have a .300 RUM sendero my wife gave it to me for christmas 3 year ago. it is an excellent shooter. 1-1.25 inch groups out of the box. it is heavy and you will feel it after a day in the mountains. but the extra weight is nice for reducing recoil. I also like the stainless barrel and synthetic stock for the wet Washington weather. |

| 264 win mag is a great caliber! Especially with that long barrel. Ammo is hard to find for it around here and expensive when you do find it. I think if I were choosing I would opt for either the 7mm mag or the 300 win mag.

| It just so happens I have a 264 and a 300. I would not be afraid to go after anything up to Elk with either one. It may be pushing the 264 a bit, but with a good Nosler or Barnes bullet it will do the job. I have taken several elk with the 300 and a few deer with the 264 which dropped them all on the spot. I like em both. |

| I have a 300 RUM in the Sendero. Like it very much. Good shooter out of the box. As mentioned above, it is kinda heavy, but its tolerable.

| I have a 25-06,264WM,300WM,300Ultra & 338Ultra in the Sendero configuration. The 338 ULTRA is fitted w/a K.Farrell 25moa tapered base & rings w/ Leupold 8.5-25X50 LR Mil Dot scope w/ KDF Mzl Brake that I bedded & did an action/timing/trigger job on. Running Sierra 300's @ 2750fps w/ 1/2 MOA accuracy isn't bad for a factory rifle. |

| joegun, You did not say what you would be shooting with the Sendero. Either one would do you well. I would not hesitate to shoot anything up to and including Moose with either one. Some may think the .264 is too light for Moose, but try explaining that to the thousands of Moose killed every year by Scandinavians armed with 6.5x55 Mausers. I think it comes down to your personal desires and tastes. Either one would be a good choice. |

| One of my good buddies has a Sendero in 7mm Rem Mag, and it is a tack driver.
