| two stage triggers
Hey, Ive been wanting to put a two stage trigger on my Remington 700. I have been having trouble finding some. I have heard of Jewell triggers, and have heard decent things about their 2stage trigger for the 700. Any thought or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brent |

Hey Brent, first off, not sure if you posted an introduction thread, so just in case you did and I missed it, Welcome to G&G. Personally, if it were me and mine, and if one is available, I wouldn't put a two-stage on it. Especially if your using it for hunting. I don't even think with this rifle if you were using it for sniping or even competition I'd put a two-stage trigger on it (again if one's even available?). If I were you I'd just take or send it to someone that knows their ship and is reputable and have a trigger job done on it. One that breaks super crisp at maybe 2-3lbs, with no creep or over travel. But if you want a two-stage, read the 4th paragraph down at this link. Remington factory triggers And I believe this link is to the Jewell trigger mentioned in the link above? I didn't read everything on the Jewell trigger linked above and below, I'll leave that for you to do, lol, but from the little I did read, I'm not sure it's a two stage trigger as much as a drop in trigger that is far better then the OEM/stock trigger? Again, it just might very well be a two-stage. I didn't thoroughly read the information. But it appears to have external adjustment via allen wrench for creep and travel? Jewell HVR Trigger - Replacement Trigger for Remington 700 And FWIW, there is information out there regarding this. I did two separate searches. This is what I typed in the search box, "triggers for a Remington model 700" and then "two stage trigger for a Remington model 700". But again, I would think a trigger job would be a better way to go? but that's just me and it is your rifle you can do with it as you darn well please. lol Good luck and I hope the information I found for you and gave you helps you out. Oh, and by the way, it'd be nice if you checked back in whenever you decide what you want to do and or after you did it and took it to the range. Because I'd truly like to know what you went with and how you feel about what you went with? Like iIf you got the Jewell trigger and wish you'd of just had a trigger job on the trigger it came with...

For the life of me, I can't imagine why anyone would want a two stage trigger on anything?
