Thumbs up Rossi/Taurus Customer Service

I’ve seen folks here who have posted customer service stories, good and bad, and I wanted to relate my experience with Rossi/Taurus firearms. I was dry firing my Rossi 357 without snap caps and broke the firing pin. Yeah I know…., I occasionally suffer from cases of “dumba$$”. So I called Rossi/Taurus to purchase a replacement. It would have been warranted if I wanted to ship the weapon but it was $10 worth of parts (and my fault, my words not theirs) so I gave them the credit card number and ordered the parts. A few days later I get a letter Taurus saying my card was invalid. Okay, inconvenient but it happens. No worries, I called back, gave them the correct card number, thanked them for the letter and decided since shipping was the same, why not get an extra pin, spring and rivet. They said I’d have it within 10 days. 4 days later, the “Brown Truck o’ happiness” shows up with my parts. 6 days earlier than expected, not bad!! So I opened the package and they only shipped one of each although the packing slip said 2 each. I called again and for the inconvenience, Ali, the customer service rep said he would ship the ones they owed me and threw in another spare set. I explained to him that I wasn’t trying to get something for free. He told me not to worry that since I called and was polite and didn’t berate them for the shortage, he was happy to give me the extra parts no charge.

As hard as it sometimes is to get good service, and yes it was their screw up, I still feel they went the extra mile to make sure I was a happy customer. As the saying goes, “you can catch more flies with honey……”

How do you people get someone to answer the phone at Taurus/Rossi?

Dropped my Rossi off at the local shop because I couldn't get customer service to ever call me back or pick up the phone. I figured he as a dealer would have number I didn't have access to. I checked on it a couple days ago and he jokingly refered to the speaker phone with the Rossi message playing every couple minutes - he was on day two of trying to get them to answer.
