They recently got bought out or sold out to Taurus, so I guess they're not family owned anymore. Check on gunbroker.

| Rossi did make an inexpensive .22, I don't recall them as having that great a reputation.

If you really want a .22 revolver, I'd recommend a Heritage Arms Rough Rider. It's affordable and American Made, and you can custom order it from their site, pickink the grips and colors with different options.

Rossi also made a model 518 in a .22 LR. caliber 6 shot revolver. It came in stainless steel, 4 inch barrel, red ramp front sight, white outline rear, with rubber grips along with the original wooden grips. These revolvers were stamped Interarms which is Pre-Braztech. If I remember right, there was a model 517 in .22 Mag. caliber offered in the exact same package as the model 518. The Rossi model 518 I've shot has had countless bricks of Wally World Remington & Federal bulk ammo put through it with no revolver malfunctions or break downs to this day. A few primer only/no powder fired ammo that left the bullets in the barrel but nothing caused by the revolver. Wished I'd bought the .22 Mag. caliber when I had the chance.

They have made some pretty decent 22's, tho they don't at this time. Back in the late 60's I got hold of a Rossi Princess; it was a cheap knock off of the old S&W "M" frame Ladysmith. It would fire maybe 3 times out of a 7 round cylinder full; and I never could find where the bullets it did fire hit! Those Princesses are collector's items, now.
