| Rossi Pump 22 mag rifle
I don't know off the top of my head what model of rifle this is... but I'm looking for a take down or assembly screw for a Rossi pump action rifle. (22 Mag). I've had this rifle since about for about 10 years. It doesn't look like they make this rifle anymore. Anyway had some "friends" help me pack up last time I was out shooting and it looks like the assembly screw that holds the upper and lower together was lost in the process. If anyone can point me to a place or someone where I can get a replacement, I would appreciate it. I live in the Phoenix area - if anyone knows a place in the valley. I've checked all the popular websites and I haven't found any place with replacement or even a good subsitute. Thanks |

try the hardware store. A screw is a screw.

the screw probably is not threaded along the whole shank and it is probably an odd thread. like the takedown screw on my Win. 61 pump is. I would suggest the Gun Parts Corp. (Numerich Arms) Jack First, or even Rossi (now Tarus) sorry I don't have or know how to post the links, Maybe some one else can.

Well I don't want to use a plain screw from the hardware shop, first it would look strange, and this pin is as much a part of the looks of the gun as the hammer is. Blaster is right, in fact the Rossi pump action I have is a Model M59. Which happens to look very much like the Win Model 61. They have a similar (possibly the same) take down pin/screw. Since Rossi was purchased by Taurus, I thought I would look to see what rifles Taurus is producing... and it looks like they are producing a similar rifle that they call a model 62 or M62C. I still haven't found a pin for one to try in the Rossi. I don't know if they are interchangeable, but it would be worth a try. Blaster - Thank you for the info, I'll check those sites out. Tool Man - Thank you for that link, I'll check it out. |

Blaster - Thank you again for the places to check out. I called Jack First and they had a newly manufactured Takedown screw instock - It will cost me $28.70 with shipping and handling. But I'll be happy to have this rifle up and running again. The rifle didn't look all that special when I bought it, but after a couple times out on the range it's one of my favorites. I'll be glad to be able to take it out again. (And no more letting my friends help me pack things up on the range). |
