Normally to make a target rifle more accurate you would bed the action and float the barrel. In the case of my 10-22 target model with a 20" bull barrel I have read that because of the weight of the barrel you would bed the barrel and float the action. Is that true and would it be worthwhile doing to make a noticeable difference in accuracy? What are your opinions on this? I have a laminate stock and was thinking about shaving down the grip area because it's to wide for my hand to reach the trigger comfortably.
