Exclamation Ruger Recall Rumor

I just spoke with Donna at the Ruger Product Services Department concerning the rumor of a recall on the New Vaqueros. Turns out that’s all it is: a rumor.

THERE IS NO SUCH ANIMAL!!! NO RECALL!!!

Viva la New Vaquero!

What they *did* do is issue a product advisory on the New Vaqueros shipped prior to Feb. 15th, 2005. There were a couple of minor, mostly cosmetic issues. This is NOT a recall but rather a VOLUNTARY fix on the part of the owner. *If* the owner wants the refit he/she may contact Ruger to have it done at no cost, but it is not necessary for the safe and enjoyable use of the revolver.

NO SAFETY ISSUES EXIST WITH THE RUGER NEW VAQUERO.

Now, get out there and order one P.D.Q.! I know I will as soon as possible - maybe even two!

Long live Sturm, Ruger & Co.!
Omar, out.
