well between me and my dad we have several rugers.the mk2 .22 is old and nearlly perfect.the super blackhawk is one of the first new models and is exelent.my 10/22 is about 6 years old and very accurite and realiable but the front site was loose and fell out when i first got it but i managed to save it and not lose it and the trigger realy sucked so put a target hammer in and no more problems.my model 77mk2 280 is a fine rifle i glass bedded it and with the right loads is very accurite but the trigger could be better although not bad im just picky about my triggers.bottem line i would buy another ruger in a haertbeat.

I have a 10/22 that I got on my 15th birthday, a few years short of a half century ago

A newly acquired Ruger Blachawk .41 Mag that according to the serial # was built in 1984. Looks like new and is a hoot to shoot, very accurate with punch to boot...Ah poetry....

1) single six converter old model 6.5" barrel standard sights, 1969 era, fun to shoot and very dear 1st pistol at age 16.
2) 1982 10/22 standard model traded brother for older model 10/22 sporter deluxe, fun to shoot [use trigger activator/hand crank device/fires 4 rounds per cycle]
3) 1983 .44 auto carbine, neat brush gun
4) 1995 Mark II target model heavy tapered 4.875" barrel. Great pistol to shoot.
So many models that I should have purchased!

The only Ruger I own at the present time was a gift from my uncle Jimmy.
A Ruger M77 MkII chambered in 7mm Rem Mag.
I hope to be adding a P95 in 9mm Luger in the next couple of days!

I have 6 Ruger firearms.

2 - New Model Blackhawks in .45 Colt, 7 1/2 inch and 4 5/8
Mark II Competition .22
10/22 Deluxe Sporter
77/22 Hornet
77/17 17 HMR & extra 22 WMR barrel

Rugers I no longer own.

Mark II 10" bull barrel; it just wasn't reliable, I got tired of sending it back.
M77VT .22-250; great 2 stage trigger, poor accuracy.
Red Label; not for me.

I own a 10/22, MK-II, Blackhawk 7.5" in 45LC and a Bisley 5.5" in 45LC. I was at the gun store and held a Bisley hunter 45LC. My wife had to seperate us two and drag me kicking and screaming from the store. I want! I want! I want!

I only have one ruger, P89 9mm with a few extra mags.

I have fired over 3,000 rounds with it so far this year (2008) and it goes bang every time and for the most part is pretty accurate. The only thing I don't like about it is the trigger pull distance. Otherwise it is a perfect range pistol. 9mm ammo is cheap and I can load the crappies ammo in there, it goes bang and then begs for more.

Easy to strip and clean. Taking it out to the rifle range to day to shoot it with my AK. Just gave both guns a good cleaning.

My next hand gun purchase will probably be a HK, because I want one real bad, but I always want a revolver and was looking into a Ruger for that. Possibly a 357 or 38.

How are Ruger rifles guys? I was thinking about picking one up for long range shooting. Do they make a nice bolt action in 7.62 that could feasibly shoot say, 1,000 yards if I wanted it to?
