The P97 is a very good gun, have not had any dealings with the new P345, you will love it for sure, they shoot very well

You have a winner. I have one on my side as I type this. It and the P90DC are my two favorite Auto's. I carry mine full time and have for several years. Congratulations! I'm sure you'll love it.

I carried a Ruger 93DC when my dept allowed the officers to choose their favorite brand of 9mm. It was flawless and accurate enough for SD purposes. Then the dept mandated the Glock 30 so I sold the Ruger.. wish I had kept it.

It began the same way for me as well. My first gun was a P95 9mm I got to celebrate the sunset of the 1994 AWB. Then I realized I needed a large caliber gun, so I got a KP90 .45. Then I rented a .40 Glock at a range and decided I wanted a .40 caliber, so I got a KP944D .40. I then realized I wanted a full size metal frame 9mm, so I got a P89D 9mm. Then I started wanting a gun with only one trigger pull (no DA first shot then SA the rest) so I got a KP93DAO 9mm. Then I realized I wanted a light weight 9mm with no manual safety, so I got a P95D 9mm.

In review...I now have a P89D, KP90, KP93DAO, KP944D, P95, and P95D. Now I don't even try to think of a reason to buy another Ruger. If I find one at a great price, I'll buy it

Yeah I own other maker's guns, I just own more Rugers than anything else

haha I just may, though I'm still going to wait awhile to see how they hold up with some REAL use, like the P-series have proven theirselves to be.
Next on my list (besides the word "anything: ) is a 1911 maybe.

going through a OBSOLETE P thread..

RugerForum.com :: View topic - Obsolete P's

and I fell in love with the P93DC.

I want one!

NOTE: I heard the P series line up...is gonna get harder to find here shortly

haha I'm the same right now. Last july after looking for several years, I finally found a KP93DAO. The dealer even said these are very hard to come by anymore.

What do I think of it? I think it belongs in my safe next to my P95DC, that's what I think.

Speaking of 1911's, how cool would it be if Ruger made one for the upcoming birthday year? They could call it the P1911 or something. I think I would be first in line to get one, based on my impression of Ruger ruggedness and the 1911 design. Such a gun would eat everything you fed it and come up smiling.
