I'm one pistol shorter (Sigma) and one shotgun richer. That 5100 20ga cleaned up like new. The super fine steel wool and Hoppes took care of all rust and blemishes and didn't seem to hurt the bluing at all.
I'd still like to figure out why it has a "circled E" and an FL stamped in the heavy part behind the hinge when you open the barrels. In a 311 it would indicate 1953, but supposedly the 5100 wasn't made then. Any ideas out there? Thanks again. Happy New Year!
Dave
