| Welcome to the fourm, the people here are great, and can offer great insight to guns, weapons and shooting. I do not have any Ruger semi auto pistols but I have always owned wheel guns. My most favorite is the Ruger single six, in stainless. |

| the ruger P95 is an excellent 9mm and has proven to be both accurate and reliable

| I liked my first Ruger P95DC so much that I bought a second one! They are great guns. I have almost 5,000 rounds (combined between the two pistols) without any jams or problems - that's reliability! Congrats on a good choice!

| I just bought one also and haven't gotten to the range yet. It feels nice in my hand and appears to be very easy for maintenance. All I have been able to do so far is fondle it. |

| Senior Member ![]() | It will eat any 9mm you put in it.... You'll have to try a few to see which is the most accurate in your gun. So far mine actually prefers WOLF....

| Any Ruger is built like the brick you know what. I could fire any and every kind of crapola ammo I threw in them. They just fired them and asked me for more. Now if they could just build them with better triggers. |

| That was my first pistol other than a ruger 22, and i must say it was probably the most reliable pistol i've owned to date. I put alot of round of junk ammo through it and it ate them all, and never had a single jame. I sold it and got a Glock 10mm, i regretted that for a while the 10mm kicks way harder, and i've already had a stovepipe and a bad jam with the glock. I saw they had the p95 on sale at Gander Mountain in the low 300's and i started to pick one up but didn't. Great pistol and congrats. |

| thanks for all the great insight. I took mine out on friday night for the first time and used reloads they supply at the range. i was in love from the first round. That was actaully only my second time shooting a gun ever and i beat my shooting partner on the last sheet. very accurate rite out of box. told my wife that if my gun would grow boobs she would have competiton. ruger definetly got a lifetime believer in there guns. anyone have any kind of laser on theres. i was thinkin about lookin into gettin one dont know if they make them for the p95 or not looks like there is a hook up for it on the barrel. anyone know where to get reasonable priced lasers thank you |

| Keep it clean and it will remain totally accurate and reliable. When I first bought mine last year (many, many rounds ago), I cleaned it after every outing, but didn't take a toothbrush to the ejector until it started having FTEs. Stuff accumulates under the ejector, so just keep it clean and you will have no worries! Dave ![]() |

| I went to the range a lot and rented a lot of guns before I made my first purchase which was 1 week ago. I ended up buying a used Ruger P89, which looks exactly like your P95, and I can only assume you have the newer model. I fired a P95 at the range several times. I ended up buying a Ruger for the price, the simplicity, and the reliability that comes with them from what I have read. I am easily able to field strip it, clean it, reassemble it, and when I first bought it I fired over 200+ rounds in a row with zero jams or misfires. The gun I bought was used at a gun show and I got a super great deal on it. I was scared it would suck so I ran over to the range and unloaded 200+ rounds into some targets to make sure it fired well. it fired like a champ. Before I rented and fired S&W, Glocks, Springfields, and a few SIGs and for the cost the ruger was the best gun for the buck IMO. I was highly considering a SIG but they were a bit more expensive and didn't really feel that much better if any over the ruger. I think that they were lighter in weight a bit. |

| Ruger P95 I have had mine for about 3 years and I really like it. I had a feed problem when I first got it, but after about a 100 rounds went through it, no more feed problems. It shoots great. |
