G36?

i have been seeing some of what they are calling the G36 conversion for the ruger 10/22. I have also seen where it is being said this is only an airsoft gun made to fit the ruger and is unsafe. is this true or is the G36 conversion a good, working conversion?

I've only ever heard of is taking an airsoft gun and modding it to fit the .22.
