| Question about the Redhawk and scope mount We have been looking at a nice used Redhawk .44 mag but we want to be able to use a scope with it and are not sure one can be mounted. Does anyone have any experience with using a scope on this particular gun, a scope that fits well and works well. |

| Redhawk Ma'am; look for the R mark. It has the cut in on the barrel for scope mounting. otherwise; a little aggravating

| He's right. Should have semicircular cut-outs to sccept ring bases.

| This one doesn't have the cut outs and that is why we are asking if there is a way to mount one, hubby doesn't want it unless there is a way to put one on. |

| I think a gunsmith would have to drill and tap it. They do make the Ruger Hunter model that is very nice. It has a full lugged barrel and the scope mounts already. They make it in the 44 mag as well as the 45lc. |

| Thanks everyone, he decided not to get this one, he is going to watch for a good deal on a newer Redhawk with the scope mounts already on it. |
