friend wondering about conversion?

hello, my friend is wondering about making a pistol grip conversion on his mini 14. is this okay in california? any compliance issue(i didnt know because i know this is american made)

Your best bet would be to check your local/state laws. A folding tactical stock may also be something to consider, it would satisfy the need/want for a pistol grip and would also provide a butt stock. You can find this and many others on this site. Mini-14 Stocks
