With all the mods and toys out there for these things, it seems like they're pretty much like a cheaper to shoot SKS, AK, or Mosin. And a lot quieter, too.

I just recently became the proud owner of an international model of the Ruger 10 22 and yes, the Mannlicher stock is very unusual. Gives a whole new look to a very good rifle. I'm just beginning my trek in the gun world, saw this model my brother had and wanted one. He got one for me as an introductory gift!!!

And yes, I have already modded it. Added the Volquartsen trigger group. Really makes it much nicer to shoot.

Welcome to the site, and congratulations on a great gift. Wanna trade BILs?

You'll find a great bunch of shooters here, most of whom are full of lots of good advice and at least as much bad humor. Hope you enjoy lousy jokes now and then!

When you decide that long piece of wood is just ugly, please PM me. I'll be glad to take it off your hands for you.
