That is an Excellent price ! Just need to make sure it Locks up Tight , so not too much cylinder play....and check the bore...

Will they allow you to have a gunsmith examine

the gun before purchasing it? This may be a longshot but if you put down some type deposit maybe something could be worked out.

If the gun is good it is well worth this price.

I would hope it is not 1/16 inch of play and more like 1/64 inch of play, when cocked...It could be tightened up a bit if need be By a qualified Smith ! What would you say it is Condition wise ?

That gun is in at least 98% shape, with an excellent bore, and virtually no movement when locked up. There is no topstrap cutting, and only slight drag lines on the cylinder. It's already been inspected and test fired by a gander gunsmith and comes with a 1 year warranty. It includes the ruger rings and box, and has probably not been fired over 50 times.

Felix, I thought you already put this on layaway last night?

I was shocked when I saw the price tag. I helped Felix compare this with a really nice Super Redhawk. If I didn't already have a Super Blackhawk, a 29-2, and a T/C Contender, I would have jumped at this myself.

Felix, I was the old guy that came over and used the bore light to check the topstrap. You got a really nice gun at a good price.

Good luck on the acquire permit. I submitted mine to Woodbury on August 29 and I'm still waiting as of tonight....

What is the scope? Is it an actual scope or a red dot sight? A scope is worth more in the store, but a lot of hunters prefer a non magnifying red dot sight.

It really doesn't matter much at that price. I paid $600 for one that was just a bit nicer than that with a Leupold silver scope attached. I got it from a licensed dealer at a show. The price is great. If you decide you don't want it after the waiting period, there are probably a few guys here who do! Nice find!
