i got a call from ruger today.
it will be here tomorrow.
1 month and 1 day later.
thats good because ive got about 75 lbs. of bullets for it.

You could just save on shipping by locking it in a vice and using a 2 foot section of rebar for leverage to bend the barrel. Lol! Billy my Ruger .44 is so powerful it makes me flinch real bad so I quit shooting it. At one point it made me flinch using 22LR semiauto pistols.

ive got a .454 casull that has lots more recoil than my .44 and i am coming around on the recoil issue with it.
i just dont shoot full house barn burners through it everytime.
i dont know if you reload but you can always load down if you do.

Sounds like you had more wrong than just a bad indexed barrel since they replaced the cylinder too. Did you notice the cylinder having any damage?

Recoil has been something that I've learned to tolerate more than enjoy...

...most of the time.

For some reason...

...I find more tolerance to the recoil in hand guns than in rifles.

My 45-70 still grabs my attention...

...as did the 300WM last fall.
