Ruger P85 ?

Anybody have any idea on these as far as reliability, performance, accuracy? I do know there is a recall on them from 1987-1990.

Thoughts?

early p85's reportedly had accuracy issues due to the barrels. And as you mentioned, they were recalled due to a possible problem with parts breakage/decocking causing an accidential dischage.

this all was corrected in the p85 mkII----a sound weapon. I'm not aware of any reliability issues with them other than the recall...............

here is a link to the ruger website that explains the p85 recall and also has the operating manual for that weapon. http://ruger.com/Firearms/PDF/InstructionManuals/49.pdf
