You can't judge a whole line cause of a few that you don't like. Nothing will change your mind. Ruger is not Sako or Weatherby. Unless you are use to the higher end fire arms Ruger is a totally serviceable gun. Try a #1 and you'll see a whole new side.

Redhawk 44 stainless best 44 made, stronger than a Smith and puts them in the 10 ring. I don't like the mini 14 had one it sucked. I have two 10-22's paid 50 each so that says how long I had them and they still work. I got a p-89 9mm works great, even eats my old handloads and holds 15 in the mag. The superdupper is no longer made its like the hawkeye pistol.

Ruger is a mid-line company, much like Marlin, Taurus, or Kenwood Stereo. They focus on what they do well and only try out the upper end when it suits them to do so. Their benefits are reliability, good customer service & low cost. They make it possible for a shade-tree gunsmith to wring more accuracy out of the Base Weapon...which is what most shade-tree gunsmiths LOVE TO DO ANYWAY!!! Tinkering with guns is FUN!! But if Marlin could make a Micro-groove barrel that could fit the 10/22...omigawd  Just thinking about a 10/22 that could shoot like a Marlin 60 gets me kinda...where's my woman???

I can name two that don't bend to the establishment/s. STI and Barrett! And I know there's at least one maybe two other manufacturers the also don't/won't bend. But I can't for the life of me remember them. But yea, this one isn't strictly a Ruger thing. lol

The early LCP's had an extremely remote chance of going off, if loaded, and thrown at the ground in the exact correct angle.. The error was found and repaired at no cost to the gun owner, and you got a free additional magazine and a nice hat for your effort of driving to the post office. Good thing no other handguns would ever go off if treated in the same manner. Yep. Lucky..

On second thought, there have been hundreds of negative comments about the fact that until December, Ruger refused to sell their high-cap. Mini 14 30-round magazines to the public. And they never sold any for the Mini 30, unless a limited edition to prison security staff or foreign govts. And most aftermarket mags for both the 14 and 30 are usually junk, unless they can be repaired. This infamous magazine issue has cost Ruger many formerly loyal customers, to AKs, SKS ARs and other products. If in doubt, check "Perfectunion.com". I like both of these Minis and have had 100% reliability with the polymer Promag 30-rounder for the 14 and 99% with the new steel Promag 10-rounder for the 30. My floating targets are about 80 feet away and don't care whether other buyers are unable to play Navy Seal at 100+ yards with these, punching holes in paper. |
