randomwhiteguy, for the record: if you dont like Rugers so be it but dont make false claims about them when others know better, espesially on one of the largest gun forums on the internet. Again, not knockin you, just giving you a reason for why you are in the ''hot seat'' . What you posted is typically know as ''flame bait'' .

I own a Ruger P89 9mm hand gun. I put about 4,000 rounds through it last year. No jams, no misfeeds, always went bang every time. Not my most accurate hand gun, and the trigger pull is long, but I paid $300 for it with 2 magazines, each holding 15 rounds.

I would buy another Ruger if it was something I wanted. They are great for the price but my 9mm is a bit bulky and the trigger pull is long.

Im not trying to slam you but you should have worded the thread a lot differently when you made it.

I haven't read the entire list of replies yet, but anyone who buys a gun solely on appearance, needs his(or her) head examined. If you hate Rugers, I'm not even going to ask you're opinion on HighPoints. You probably LOVE them!
True, Ruger dosen't build the prettiest guns, but they do build one of the strongest, most reliable, and least expensive guns on the market, when they stick to their own design, (ref, the LCP which is a Kel-Tec design).
