How does a Ruger Bisley New Vaquero compare to a Ruger Bisley New Model Blackhawk?

I own a Ruger Bisley New Model Blackhawk which is my favorite gun. But I'm now thinking of buying a Bisley New Vaquero. I've never handled a Vaquero or a New Vaquero. So I'm wondering if it is almost as sturdy as a New Model Blackhawk, and is it just a bit smaller or is it a lot smaller than a New Model Blackhawk. None of the gun stores around here have one in stock that I can paw over.

So, how how does it compare? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm leaning toward the .357 Magnum.

I THINK THAT THE DIFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO IS THAT THE BISLEY HAS A DIFFERENT GRIP AND DOES NOT HAVE ADJUSTABLE SIGHTS. I BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE THE SAME SIZE.

The new Vaquero handles easier for normal or small hands.I would go .357 if just target shooting and .45 if hunting. sam.

If I recall correctly...The new Vaquero is smaller framed and NOT as sturdy for ultra heavy loads as the NM BLKHWK. Much more traditional in design for action shooters though. I would NOT trade my NM BLKHWK .45 colt for anything I can think of. Any way you go, I think its hard to go wrong with a Ruger single action.

Best advice

HANDLE THE VARIOUS MODELS AND BARREL LENGTHS.

We are all a bit different so what "fits" one of us will not be right for the next person.

The NMBH has a larger, heaver frame over the New Vaquero. One exception, the anniversary .357 NMBH.
The New Vaquero is suitable for standard loads, the NMBH well handle heavy loads. New Vaquero has fixed sights, the NMBH has adjustable. The New Vaquero is a close copy of a Colt SAA, the NMBH is not.
