I'm looking for a good holster for CCW for my Ruger P95. I already have the Fobus Tactical, which is great during winter when I can cover it with a thick jacket, but it prints way too obviously even under a long, thick shirt.
Now, I realize that the P95, with its 15 round capacity, is bulky and considered by some to be a little too chunky to CCW. However, I'm well over six feet tall and have a large enough frame to cover it.
I saw a different thread here where someone recommends the "
Bare Asset" by High Noon Holsters: .
I like the looks of this because it can be carried behind the hip, which is my preference. But then I started looking at
Mr. Softy (also High Noon Holsters).
What I like about Mr. Softy is that it rides lower, which I consider necessary to effectively conceal the thick handle of the P95 (with rubber Hogue grip). However, it is a "straight drop" and can only be carried strong side or in front of hip. I'm okay with carrying strong side, but the gun is just too big to carry in front of hip (can't possibly sit down without shifting it).
Could someone give me some feedback that might help me make up my mind? Or, even better, if you know of a different IWB holster that would be good for a P95, please let me know.
