Leather holster for Security Six, 6"

Anyone know of a good mfg for a belt holster for this gun? Galco has one, but are there any others? Custom's (like Rosen) are expensive. Have a nylon Mikes, but want a leather one. Thought Hume used to make one but dont see it in their catalog anymore

Galco, Bianchi, Don Hume, Gould and Goodrich, Aker, Blackhawk and Safariland are all good... but the last one has mostly duty holsters. And +1 on the leather, much better than nylon and will last forever!

Edit: Galls.com and copsplus.com are great places to find 'em. I see you already looked at Hume, and I'm sure they still carry them, might just not be in there catalog. Some retailers might still have some around though. As for the other manufacturers, they're one's I'd trust and with that weapon being as popular as it is, I'm sure they'll have a model for your weapon.

I've got a Safariland paddle for my .40, with a thumb-break, and a Galco (a pretty basic one) for my CZ Kadet .22 (this one doesn't have a thumb-break). Both are leather, belt-friendly, with adjustible cants. I will buy nylon, or a Kydex, maybe, if you held a gun to my head (sorry, bad pun). That's just me, I prefer leather. Nice place to park your hardware at the range, is all.

Point is (and this is the voice of experience, here!) if you order whatever, with a thumb-break, be prepared that the strap may not reach all the way, given stiff leather. You may have to try different models.

GO WINGS!

Security Six holster

Thanks Tapped and Tagged-you mentioned some names I haven't heard of like Gould and Goodrich and Aker

I'll try them and the other web sites

Actually never thought that some mfgs. might still have them, or the molds for them for this old gun (bought it new in 1977), but just dont catalog them anymore.

Balrog--yup, bought a Bianchi with a thumbstrap for another gun last year, and had to let it sit in holster like directions said for a week, but then the fit was awesome

Thanks all,
Steve
