Mini 14 Magazines???

I know that there are a few aftermarket magazines out there for the Mini 14, but which ones are known to be good, and which ones should I steer clear of? I'm sure that Ruger factory mags are probably the best route to go, but they hang such a rediculous price tag on 'em that it's got me searching for alternatives. The rifle came with a 5rd mag, which isn't sufficient, and I have a cheap-o 30rd mag made by "Eagle" that I picked up locally for $24. It's a fully plastic (see through) mag that I've not yet tried out, but I'm not out all that much if it turns out to be garbage. So...anyone had any good experiences with aftermarket Mini 14 mags, and if so, what brand/brands? Thanks in advance.

Go to Gun magazines, clips, grips, accessory, holsters, firearms online: Colt, Ruger, Glock, HK, Sig, Mossberg, Smith and Wesson, Beretta, Taurus and get steel Promags. They have them in 20 and 30 round magazines, I'd recommend 20s, as they're handier and easier to shoot different positions in, and they don't get in the way if you're carrying them.

Yes, Pro-Mag is the brand you are looking for. I have several mags for my Mini-14 and most are Pro-Mag. There may be other good mag manufacturers out there too. I tend to lean toward steel over poly or other synthetic material.

Promag has worked for me. From Ruger you can pick up 20 rd mags for $29 to $39 depending on when they run specials on them. 30 rds are $49 at Ruger.
I have had a few plastic ones and most worked but they still jam every once and while.
