hornady ammo in my ruger??

i have a ruger sp101 3inch 357mag., and a ruger gp100 4inch 357mag. its been hard to find ammo around here lately, so when i went to the store today i was excited to hear the shop owner say i have 357 ammo in. he said its all he can get right now, its 140 grain hornady leverevolution ammo for revolvers and lever guns. he said it gives great performance in revolvers, lots of energy delivery. has anyone used this? and if so how did it do?, he had 8 boxes of it i bought 6, didn't want to get it all in case someone else needed a box or two. it was $19.95 for a box of 25, thanks for any help.

It won't hurt your gun at all. I'm not sure how much ballistic gain the bullets give, but they should perform well for you.

I've been looking at the leverevolution rounds for my Marlin 30-30. The ballistic coefficient is a good bit of difference, enough to in theory, almost double the effect range. For ur wheel gun, I'd say it'd probably perform wonderfully as well.

This ammo out of a rifle anchors deer better than any I have shot. The plastic tip upon entry is the cool part.
