Ruger black hawk information
A co-worker of mine recently got a Ruger Blackhawk from his father. It's been in the family as long as he can remember (he's a lot younger then me, He's early 20's) He asked if I could find out the age and value. It's in great origenal condition 41 Magnum with a leupold m-8 scope the serial # is 3452 I would think that is must be old with such a low # And I all ready asked if he wants to sell, but he doesn't. I have a Ruger Bisley hunter and Smith model 57 both in 41 Mag. So I would love to add his to my collection.
Thanks, Mel

If they drilled and tapped the frame for a scope mount they destroyed any collector value.

Not if it is original and done at the factory? Or did they not do this back when?

An old three screw would not be drilled and tapped at the factory. It's still a great revolver, just collector value is hurt.

ruger
I haven't seen it yet, but he say's you unscrew the the top rear sight bar and screw the scope mount in the same holes, It sounds like it hasen't been drilled they just used the same holes.
