| P345
I for some reason seem enchanted by the P345. Havent really looked at them until last week when reading up on stopping power of 45acp. Looked up reviews and P345 keeps popping up as ideal for CCW on weight and accuracy. Have a Taurus 24/7 PRO 9mm that not too fond of since I got the SR9, maybe swap it as down payment. The one thing that comes to mind is that the frame slide rails are polymer and what is the life of these rails. Are we looking at 5k, 7k, or 10k life expectancy of rounds fired. I dont expect to shoot that much, but it would be nice to know when they expect to go south. Any feed back will be welcome.

I have a P345, and have run over 1000 rounds through it so far with only a couple of malfunctions (which were due to improperly seated handloads) It is like all of Ruger's other pistols and revolvers, tough as nails, and built for a lifetime of use, I would not concern myself with it's durability at all.

Do you conceal carry your P345? What holster would you suggest? I prefer IBW but in any case Im open for options. Oh yeah I sold a couple of firearms and picked up the P345 in black today, love the feel and naturally points like a 1911, only better for me. What brand ammo do you find most accurate?

I agre with you on how it feels in the hand, to me it is very comfortable, and easy to hold onto. My particular gun favors 230 gr. FMJ's, with Remington 230 gr. Golden Sabers coming in second place, followed by Federal 185 gr. Hydra Shoks.

I looked into the fobus and a review said that it doesnt fit with the accessory rail which is what I have. Guess its back to the drawing board. Thanks again.

ALR, You are going to be quite happy with your P345. I carry mine every day. It conceals well and isn't so heavy that you'll grow tired of carrying it. I agree with Midas on the ammo choices. I keep it loaded with the 230gr. Golden Sabers. The only ammo I've had a problem with is Blazer Brass. As far as holsters go I use the one in the link provided. It works well for me.
