| $1300 Well Spent
Well finally got my Tikka T3 Lite 270 WSM and Nikon Scope today. Its now put away with the other kids, can hardly wait to get to the range and try it out. The only draw back is they didn't have the Lee Dies so I'll have to wait before I can reload for it. But I'm pretty happy just to have the rifle I have wanted.

I'll post them later, it was a long day, I had to drive to Winnipeg to get it. The girlfriend was a real good sport about coming along and waiting while I had the scope mounted and bore sighted.

I then suggest that maybe you keep her happy and show your thanks and get her something of equal value. lol Trust me, they never forget the things they've "put up with". lol

Well Glock it was her birthday Tuesday so I bought her gold and pearl earrings, a gift card for Mark's Work Warehouse (she like the outdoors as well). Yesterday she got fudge at the Rocky Mtn Fudge Co, lunch at Earls, and I bought her something at La Senza, also a pretty darn nice Valentines gift to give her. (a necklace to match the earrings)

Actually......way to go with the gifts. You did good. You will have a great time with the Tikka. Great rifle, great caliber, and it looks like a great scope that matches well. I that about a 4x12 50 ? Sweet outfit. You will really have fun working up some reloads. I would be able to advise (a bit) if it was 308, but you'll hone in soon enough. Keep us posted. Target pics are always nice. Tom

I put a 3-9x50 Nikon Prostaff Scope on! Haven't taken it to the range yet although we have had pretty nice weather here. But X-Country Skiing tomorrow and coyote hunting on Monday so not sure when I'll get out. Think I'll just wait awhile to give myself something to look forward to lol. Bought 1 box of factory ammo but want to start reloading. They didn't have Lee Dies in stock so have to order them. (just used to using Lee Dies) I did get a good deal on brass 27.99 for 50 new Winchester at one of the local places this afternoon, figured I'll need them sooner or later so why not!

Your brass will form to your chamber - yet eject easily with normal loads, and you will extend the life of the brass. If you go this way, you will also want full length dies as well. Tom Be sure to post how she shoots.

Just wondering what the "lifespan" of the 270 WSM case is going to be! I guess it will be like every other aspect to reloading careful inspections and to quote an old carpenter "measure twice cut once".
