Savage 220 as beginner trap gun

My favorite shotgun when I started hunting in the '60s was a 16 gauge Savage 220C. I still have the gun and it is in very good condition. I want to add a Simmons rib to it, shorten the stock, add a recoil pad and give it to my son, who is just beginning to hunt and shoot trap.

I have found many references to Model 219, Model 200, Model 200A and Model 200B. Can anyone tell me when Savage first made Model 200C and if it will also accept 20 gauge, 16 gauge and 12 gauge barrels?

I meant 220 of course, but when you are old enough to remember this gun you need your glasses to type!
