Hello everybody, I acquired this via a pal & i wanted to share it with everybody.
This is a sweet pre-46' Savage Model 6A
My pal rescued this from bubba before he could disgrace it any further.
This is from Savage Arms Co. Utica NY. whica date it pre 46', before the move to Chichpee.
This is a beauty, & i am glad to add it to my gun cabinet. They just don't make them like this anymore. most of the newer ones i see these days, look as though their made of pop cans & plastic.

Before my pal rescued this, bubba had JB welded a weaver side rail scope mount on the receiver. I traded my pal 2 of my r/c boats for her & brought her home.
I cleaned up all the excess jb with my dremel & gave her a thorough cleaning & douching. The gunsmith said the scope rail mount was square & true, and we may as well leave it on there till it comes loose, if it ever does. Then remove it & do the scope mounting right.
The scope is a real nice BSA Classis 3x9x40 variable power scope. Currently she's sighted in @ 150 yards, and shoots beautifully. The bore is tightly rifled and is shiny clean. I am actually surprised this came out this clean.
I will be adding additional pics soon. I just ran out of daylight Enjoy !!!
