Talking finally home!

i have a yay and a nay today. i went to the shop and picked up my savage model 14 american classic 7mm-08, got it all setup and fed it half a box of hornady 139gr sst. the stevens 512 goldwing i had the lgs bid on from gunbroker arrived but the stock was cracked and the barrel looked alot worse then it appeared in the pictures, so im having it sent back and it gona cost me like 65 bucks for shipping both ways. i absolutely love my model 14 wish i would have had the cash to put a better scope on it but this one will work for the coming season. it took me ten rounds to sight in about a half inch high at 100 only because i kept turning the dials two clicks every click with out realizing it. recoil wasnt bad at all. i am very pleased with with this rifle purchase im just hoping everything works out and i get to see how it works on some whitetails

The Classic 14 is a beautiful gun and like most Savages a real tack driver. I got my 10 year old grandson one in .250 Savage last spring - the light recoil let him be real accurate right away.

I agree, that model 14 is a pretty gun. Savage does have a reputation at being accurate out of the box. Looking forward to pics of your new baby.
