| Freakish reloading - Anti-Armor Savage 24? I keep trying to think of ways that in an emergency scenario, sporting arms could be used in a military capacity if provided with the right ammo. A previous idea of mine was to use missile shaped penetrator projectiles in a break action 12ga shotgun. But that would have relatively short range and poor accuracy. So what about using a Savage 24 with 30-30 over 12ga, using the 12ga with a heavy penetrator and a 30-30 with a much heavier penetrator bullet, using a heavy load of slow burning powder, and by using the break action, allowing long steel cored bullets to be used?

| Savage did make a 9478 for the NAVY which used 45/70 blanks , and used a fitted rod with a line attached for a "LINE THOWER" from ship to ship, so I think you can do it with a 94 or 9478 single shot
