Jack - is that your Savage? Great little guns. I've shot the .32 but not the .380 yet. I even have a few old rounds headstamped ".32 Savage" These guns were very popular back in the 1920's and 30's. |

| Savage 1917 manual
Hi.. I'm new to this site... I'm impresssed by the nature of the information I've seen avl. so far. I'm looking for an owners manual for the Savage 1917. I figured maybe someone here would have an electronic copy they could email me. I just picked this one up recently, and would like to disassemble it for inspection and cleaning but I don't quite want to get into it without more knowledge. thanks. Wayne in Michigan |

Wow, thats a beauty Jack. I think you left out a number in the serial though, it's to low for a 380. The 380's all had the B suffix on the end of them but the 1915's started at 10000 and went to 13900 as only 3900 model 1915's were made. Then came the 1917 like yours so the serial number would be higher than 13900B. Here's my model 1915 in 380. |

| Congratulations
You have a historically interesting firearm in what appears very good condition.
