Nice gun. They shoot well but if it were me, Id spend some bucks and put some nicer glass on it, but thats just me.

Why use something that big when you can do the same thing with a .243 = Why use a 243 when you can do the same thing with a 22-250, or a 220. Theres no such thing as too dead. Its a personal choice, if you want to use a 243 go for it, fact is there are a lot of other calibers that work just as well That statement is ridiculous in my eyes.

Yeah yor right with a collection like this I must be clueless. = Do you really think just because you have a large collection of guns it makes you smarter? You remind me of my neighbor who thinks his Z06 is badass yet he cant shift a clutch.

I have a baggie full of 7mm Rem. Mag. brass that I've picked up, anybody want it? I'll never use it, I have no desire to shoot those monsters. Send me a PM and I'll mail it to ya. Not sure how many cases there are, but definitely worth the trouble.

LBTG- How do we know the pic you posted is even yours ?? What does it prove ?? Nothing at all. Based on your posts, you ARE a snob, and an uninformed one to boot.

Hornady makes a 120 grain bullet that you can load up to about 3600 fps in the 7mm mag, I've used it on jackrabbits, they explode into itty-bitty rabbit bits with a good center hit. Lotsa fun. Around 1980, the 7mm Remington Mag was the most popular rifle cartridge according to sales, and with good reason.

nice gun. you made a good choice. for about 25 yrs i have been hunting with a rem 7mm and a winch 7mm. i have shot something over 30 caribou, 6 bull moose and 1 300+ pd blackie with them. most of the bou 2 of the moose and the bear dropped in there tracks from one shot. happy hunting

Savage has always made a decent firearm. Although some of them may not win any beauty contests, they are accurate and function well. I have not had the priveledge of firing any of the new ones, but the old ones sure seem to get the job done. I still have a 110E in 7mm mag. that I take out to the range occasionally and I usually the one that I send out to family members as a loaner.

long line of hunters

I come from a family that has been hunting as far back as anyone in my family can remember, as far as this savage I own one and I love it it gets the job done. You dont need the big expensive rifles to put food on the table you just need to drop what you shoot at and this rifle will do it.

I like Savage rifles. I do not own a Savage in 7mmMag, but I would not hesitate to hunt deer with one. I have had a Sako 7mmMag for almost 30 years, and have taken everything from deer to elk, and caribou to moose. If you could only own one rifle, a 7mmMag would not be a bad choice.

my friend has a savage 7mm rem mag and its a really nice rifle id consider buying it off him if he ever sold it they are alot of fun to shoot, He kinda wastes his money on it as he never goes hunting or anything with it he just uses it as a plinker at the range and he only got it because its powerful

savage 7mm Rem Mag

I recieved the same rifle as in the picture and in four years ive shot three bull moose with it, this year i shot one from 420 yards away. The 7mm is by far my favorite gun.

I couldn't be happier with my 7mm mag. It's in a Remington 700 model BDL and it is a real rocket launcher. I put a round right through a 4*4 post the other day while I was out shooting on my buddy's property. Very impressive caliber, and versatile.

The caliber definitely has my seal of approval, no doubt about it.

A helluva rifle

I took this badass 8 pointer on the morning of the opener last season close to La Farge WI with my Savage 7mm. I would recommend this indestructable rifle to anyone as clumsy as I am......sometimes.

Way to go! Shot my first deer with a 7mm mag (10 seasons ago!) and the Savage guns I have are also indestructable and accurate; my Stevens now has freckles due to a night under the stars - I call them character spots!

Thumbs up If you make it out west your Savage will do you wonders

I have a Savage 7MM looks a lot like yours. Bought it with a Bore sighted scope from Wal-mart. 5 Shots after taking it out of the box i was 3 inches high at 100yds and ready to just get used to shooting it. First Elk I shot was with winchester 175s and the elk dropped. While shooting for this years hunting season with a good rest this rifle is acuratly punishing 2ft metal gongs at well over 500yds and I don't shoot all that often in the off season... Good Luck and Enjoy that rifle

You can make out the basics;

dont worry!! if you can get past the muzzle blast and get by the scope without getting bit!!! lol !!! you got it made . if you get it zeroed @ 200 yrds your good 2 go here in the us or abroad!!! trust me this is anti air craft shit!!
