I've got a savage 110 fp in 300 WM and I was wondering what I (or a gunsmith) could do to make it more accurate. I've heard re bedding and reducing trigger pull helps. What would be the best things to do that wouldn't break the bank?

if youve got the accutrigger
you can adjust the trigger yourself.
what sort of stock are you running?

It's just the factory stock. I looked at choate stocks and there $178 but they look really cool.

Is your barrel floated? That's a good start.
I am hoping to pick up a 111 in 300WM the first of the month!

it depends on how old your savage is but if you have the factory stock it is already pillar bedded.
open up the bbl. channel until you can easily pass a dollar bill between it and the stock.

It's almost brand new. I just looked at your 10 fp Billy and it looks great. If the factory stocks are already pillar bedded, does the choate stock improve anything or just look cool?

the factory stock is flimsy and non adjustable AND it doesnt look cool.

In my opinion, you really need an adjustable stock to maximize the rifles potential. Either that or have a custom one made for your measurements.
Oh ya, and they look cool!
