Looking for Family Herloom

I am looking for a family herloom which was sold out of our family roughly four years ago to a dealer in Montana. This is a 303 Savage, model 1899 with serial number 47,233. This gun was won by my Great Grandfather, Herbert Williams (Wild Burt) after he beat William Cody (Buffalo Bill) in a pistol shooting competition in Madison Square Garden around the turn of the century. I have been looking for this gun for four straight years with no luck. If any of you have any ideas/suggestions on how I can locate this gun PLEASE help me.
