Savage makes some of the best rifles out there. I own 3, a model 12FV bull barrel .308 that is a "tack driver", a .17hmr, also a tack driver and a Stevens 200 7mm-08 that is a great gun for the price. dont let the gun snobs tell you that Savage dont make a quality product!!

I am excited about my rifle even tho its still not here it should be here with in 5-8 days now. I havent ever heard anything bad said about savage. I hear they make really nice and accurate rifles that are also cost effective. I do a little homework on the fire arms brands as well as the rifles them selves before I run out and buy them. If I hear good and its what im looking for I pick it up when I got the cash. Right now I only have 2 rifles. I have a ruger 10/22 carbine and a mosin-nagant M44. The savage will be my 3rd.

I was suprised that it came so fast my store ordered it monday night and it got to the store in thurday morning. I took it home and I have to say that damn rifle is sexy and feels perfect in my hands. The action is smooth the accutrigger feels good the safty doesnt stick its everything I wanted and more lol. I havent gotten to shoot it yet the weather is kind of bad here and we have family here for a funeral. I am gonna go down to the store tonight and get my tasco 3-9X 32mm silver antler scope transplanted from my 10/22 carbine. They will mount and sight it in if I buy the rings for it which I need anyway it has a mount built in which wont work with my rings from my 10/22.

im in cowlitz county I normally go down to the rainier rod and gun club in rainier oregon. They have a 25 and 100 yard ranges and a skeet range only costs 20 bucks to join per year. I also go out in the woods a lot for when im looking for longer range then 100 yards or I just wanna go back packing.

| I dont know how much I could carry but I normally carry a brick of .22 long rilfe in my pack and 3 packs of 50 in my pockets so about 700 rounds of .22 longrifle. If I have my mosin-nagant m44 I normally take about 35-50 rounds. If im a little trigger happy and have the surplus ammo sometimes I take up to 100 rounds ontop of my .22 ammo. If I have my xbow pistol I normally have about 36 bolts. I try and keep my pack light so I normally only take a .22 as my back packing gun but sometimes I take my m44 or crossbow out with me for some variety. I dont know how to put a pic from my cell phone onto a computer yet. After messing with my phone I figured it out. I sent a pic of my dog to my computer but my phones battery was dying when I was trying to take some decent pics of my toys. I will post some pics tomorrow. | I've been looking at much the same rifle. I'll be very interested in hearing how you like it after you've gotten it to the range. The only Savage I've owned was a 110 Tactical in .300 winmag. I wish I still had it. My experience was much the same as most Savage owners have reported. It was amazingly accurate and well put together for the price. Not the best rifle available, but the best combination of price and quality around. |

The Savage mark II F is a amazing rifle. Its the best .22 long rifle ive ever seen. It feels perfect in my hands and gets amazing groups. I am shooting roughly a dime sized group at 100 yards. The bolt action on the savage is amazingly smooth and can by cycled faster then almost any bolt action rifle I have used. Its a really nice really well made rifle and I paid 170 for mine with tax. If your interested in one I would say pick it up you will love it.
