Savage 300 Win Mag Rifles

I am looking at 2 rifles: Savage 111, used. Stevens 200, new. Both are selling for $325. I do not know Savage very well. Is the 111 that much of a better rifle?

The 111 is a lot better looking, and has a nicer finish.

Agreed Midas! Is it just a better overall "grade" of rifle?

Pretty much, the 111 could be considered the "standard" rifle in the Savage line, kinda like the Remington 700 ADL or SPS are in the Remington line of rifles, while the Stevens 200 could be considered the "economy" rifle in the Savage line. Not saying that the 200 isn't a functional rifle, it just isn't as appealing as the 111
