This came after I installed a rifle basix trigger. I always seeme to throw one out of five. I shouldnt get so excited when a group goes this well.

10FLP modifications

This is going a little sideways. You guys are all shooting the .308. I want the .223. You can't get the FLP(the flp is lefty) from Savage with the Choate or the McMillan. The OEM stock from Savage seems to be universally despised. I do have one aftermarket stock in mind but I would like to hear your suggestions. Also more about the Nikon and fluting the stock barrel.

I have the 10fp in 308 also. Have not really noticed a lot of recoil..probably because mine has the longer barrel..Only time my shoulder has been sore is when I shot a box of 180gr ammo. I generally shoot about 25-30 rounds per "session" without any issues.
I love this gun, it is far more accurate than I am. I have a Bushnell Elite 3200 fixed 10x scope with mil-dot reticle..it can be had for about 190 and is quite nice. I am not a seasoned shooter, but this rifle has put 3 shot groups under .75 MOA quite a few times..I am getting better shooting from bi-pod and expect to see those numbers consistently before too long. This thing eats cheap ammo well, but I think I am gonna start getting better match ammo..seems like when it heats up, there is 1 of 4 that is thrown a little off..only about 2" though so you can still take down a whitetail with no problem at 100yrds.
I just recently painted mine cammo..when it is finished I'll post some photos..still needs some darker green, reds , etc for this southern red clay, etc.

Can you explain to us newbies what you are referring to? Why measure the chamber and what kinda hoops were involved?
Just curious as I know very little about reloading, etc.
