Savage 99 - Dates of Manufacture

I have a number of 99F's, manufactured in the 1950's. I am trying to find the coding to determine the date of manufacture. I believe it is based on the code stamped on the front of the lever.
I belonged to a forum a number of years ago that focused on the 99 and this information was readily available, but I have been unable to locate it.

The stamping letter on the lever is the date code. A is 1949 O and Q were not used. Stops at X in 1970. This is the date of acceptance a receiver could have been manufactured a year or two earlier and not finished.
