Once again all the media folks covering the SHOT Show have been invited out to Boulder Pistol & Rifle Range in Boulder City, Nevada minutes away from Hoover Dam. The latest and greatest is put on for testing for all that attend. This is not open to the general SHOT attendees, so while still busy, 3,000 people vs 50,000 waiting in line to test out something isn't that bad.

Some of the highlights so far going in is the offerings from Glock with their new concealable 45 to compare to the XDS from Springfield, along with the new SIG submachine gun.

Another great thing about Media Day is you run into some firearm celebrities, last year I ran into the Gunny himself, which was an honor and something I could cross off my bucket list.

I got to try out the new Springfield xds in 9mm, the new stock for the benilli m4 from ATI, Glock, and a few other things from zombie industries.

Fun day, but I'm really tired. Time to lose a few dollars at the bellagio before going to the hotel.
