Picked up this Winchester 1300 at a Gunshow that's never been fired. Got it for $99 Picked up a Turkey Choke and som sights. gonna use it next season, might even put a red dot on it.

took it apart, checked firing pin , no trace of powder residue. that and it came in a closed box. Works for me.

Thanks allot, but I think I'll keep it like it is. I have a Saiga 12 gauge for tactical use. this ones purely for hunting.

congrats on a great deal! the 1300 is an excellent shotgun. I have one that I bought n..i.b. in the '80s. it had a smooth bore slug barrel with rifle sights. recently I bought a used 26" barrel threaded for choke tubes. this spring gobbler season I decided to carry it instead of my ole reliabal 870. I killed a nice gobbler with it. good luck with yours.
