Ok, I have a Mossberg 12 ga, 18.5 in barrel, 8 shot shotgun. I would like to mount a Good but inexpensive flashlight & mount. Suggestions?

I have the same problem with my 500. There aren't a lot of great options. Best overall price/function is probably one of those tube mounted rails with the universal light mount and pressure switch mounted to the forend.

This would be my suggestion as well. The rail will either clamp on to the mag tube or in a pinch on the barrel. Don't go too cheap on the light....you are going to rely on it to protect your life and the life of your family.
