s&w model 1000

I recently bought a S&W model 1000 from the early 80's as my first gun. Just wondering if they make a decent shotgun or if I got taken. After I bought it, I went home and found that there isn't a lot of info on this gun so I am kind of worried that I should have bought something more well known/reliable.

I saw a post from Feb 2008 by jsanluis asking about S&W 1000 Manual. I have one that won't cycle low brass shells. Is that a characteristic of the gun, age or what?

Regardless, I would like to have a manual.

Thumbs up

NRAJOE....thanks again for your handy source for gun manufacturer's information. After getting a new gun, and it doesn't have a "manual", I've been able to find it in your chart and print off the information I need.
