| Super Moderator ![]() | Heaviest Duty 410 pump Before anyone jumps on the "shotguns can never handle rifle cartridges" doctrine bandwagon, the bottom line is it's a matter of numbers. 410 shotguns have a max SAAMI rated chamber pressure of 13,500psi, 44 Rem Mag is 36,000psi. So what's needed is a 410 shotgun that can handle roughly 3 times the pressure. Of course the barrel would be different. So is there a 410 shotgun that could handle three times the pressure? Or is the factor of safety lower than that?

| Savage made a 30/30 pump years ago that looked remarkably like their pump shotgun. |
