Broke down the 12ga

Finally got out to the gun club today, met my good friend a Judge in the district dourt and we shot skeet and trap. I was really surprised after not shooting for the 3 years I was layed up with my car accident, I did really good. My Beretta 26' semi-auto STILL worked. LOLL I joined 24 hour fitness a few weeks ago and started lifting weights and working out with a personal trainer 3 days a week for an hour, then have water motions for another hour. I am starting to feel better, than I have since my accident. The best thing is that I got off all the opiates, those drugs almost killed me. I weened myself off the last time I went through withdrawals, as I thought I was dying for 7 days, and it is such a good feeling not having those drugs in my system. Anyway, I am going to start shooting on a regular basis now, that I am getting myself back in shape again. I didn't think I would be able to hold my shotgun up my arms are so weak, but I made it through 50 rounds and could have shot another 25. Just wish I still had my O/U full and mod with ejectors, I loved that gun. However, I can always pick up something pretty...like a new SKB or Browning...LOLL Lady Di

That's great to hear You sound really jazzed, I'm glad it's working for you. I hear nothing but good about the Beretta. Sopposed to be a very soft shooting gun. You should be getting ready for the Vegas event, was it June or July? Wish I was the independent wealthy retired traveling type, I'd show up and shoot with you.

This Saturday a bunch of us from a local forum are getting together for a shoot. Kind of like sporting clays from simulated duck blinds. 2 different colors of clays so we can shoot drakes only. Fry some fish after ward, should be a good time.

I hope I can raise my Sx2 50 times. Always been strong as an ox, but running into some wierd problems with my arms lately. They thought it was CTS but are not sure now. I'm better than 2 weeks ago. Doctors, hey what do they know.

Take care of yourself & have fun. Let us know how the shoot goes.
Best,
Jerry

Glad to 'hear' a very positive tone to your voice and vitory in these cases is always sweet.

It's great to have a super hobby to fall back on and I hope you manage to break a lot of clay. I envy you since skeet shooting has never been a sport I could call myself good at.

Thanks Guys, I am not sure yet if I will be shooting in that event Jerry, I did however buy a spot for two shooters for $5,000. It will be June 9th. Will see how I do the next few weeks, the director called me last night and wants me to shoot and I am meeting him for dinner next week, so will discuss it. Hope your arm gets better Jerry. Shaun, Dale, Pappa, Dog and Mandy thank-you all for the nice comments....Lady Di

Lady Di & guys
Here is a pic from our trap shoot today. kinda hillbilly style, but fun nonetheless.

I'm 2'nd from the foreground with the black gun, my Sx2. The cool thing about this range was it was on a hill. each of 5 stations went progressively downhill. As did my shooting a good part of the day :jaw:
